The Andréa Rizzo Foundation holds two major events each year, one of which is the Andréa Rizzo Birthday Celebration on the Cliff Walk in Newport, RI, is held each August on the weekend closest to what would have been Andréa’s birthday.
We celebrate by offering a luscious picnic lunch to our devoted supporters and walk along the beautiful Cliff Walk on Salve Regina University’s campus, on the lawn at McCauley Hall overlooking Narragansett Bay. Our devoted volunteers, Rosanne Donner and Michael Pugh provide delicious food and our Committee Members plan fun for all, as well as dance/movement activities for the children led by our dance therapists. A family Fun event, and Ben and Jerry’s provides dessert!
What better way to remember this special day than to spend it at Andréa’s beloved alma mater where she spent many days enjoying all it had to offer.
